Wedding Invitations In Tile:

I begin with wet slabs of
about a quarter of an inch thick.
Cut roughly 7x7 squares to transport from the School Studio to my studio.

I had a special rubber
stamp made 6x6 to press
in the wording for my invitation

My lovely work area.
Tiles, Tiles, Tiles, and More Tiles!

Once the stamp has been
pressed in to the wet clay,
I cut the edges to size with a straight edge.

After the Bisque firing,
they are glazed and fired again to cone5 or about 2165 degrees.

A final up close.
