Wedding Invitation Tile Process

Invitation Tile Packaging

Tile Invitation
High Fire Stoneware Tiles, all hand rolled, hand cut, and hand painted with a light blue overglaze.

Hand Cut Flower Shape on the Inner & Outer Envelopes. I choose the Japanese Tissue to represent the tissue that is normally in a formal wedding invitation. The tissue was not necessary, but has a nice feel to the total packaging.

The Blue Embroidered Paper was of a Handmade Stock from a local vendor: The Paperie. I chose this embroidered paper because of the waves sewn into it and the feeling of movement it had.

Top of Box Description:
Each Box Lid held a silver ribbon that was glued behind the metallic blue lining. This ribbon helps to hold the Name Card, the RSVP and silver metallic envelope, the directions, the travel accommodations, and an info card should it rain.

All paper elements were 4c printed using Crushed Leaf,  Silver Sparkles Cover weight paper.

A tiny pewter dragonfly was attached to each name card.

Bottom of Box:
Metallic Blue Shred was placed as cushion behind the tile. The envelopes were carefully folded and glued with a metallic silver LOVE faux wax seal.

The two box pieces were put back together and individually wrapped for mailing.

Each wrapping was custom printed and addressed on Crushed Leaf, Silver Sparkles, Text weight paper.

Over 200 of these elaborate invitation packages were handmade.
